GROUP ACTIVITIES  AND   SHOW AND TELL

Encouraging each other is an important and effective way to share and  gain knowledge as well
as increase confidence in ourselves as well as others.
Bringing our projects for Show and Tell is a wonderful way to accomplish this.

Photos of members' projects shown at recent meetings are in this gallery.
Apologies to any person whose project was not photographed---
please contact Donna Slusser to make arrangements to try again
or bring to the next meeting!

                PROGRAM

Our program started with a group discussion and sharing time about:
How to tell "good quality" fabrics and why to buy them.
Pre-wash fabrics or not?
Different types of batting and their uses.

This was followed by four demonstrations at four tables---and people
could visit each one on their own time and in any order.
Lynne McCreight - two color/fabric bindings; how to have the sew the two ends
of the binding together perfectly.
Donna Slusser - Binding using the sewing machine for front and back.
Sara Jane Perino - Mitered corners for borders

Nancy Larson-Powers - Adding borders to your quilt top
