COMMUNITY SERVICE QUILTS AND PROJECTS

Through the years, Patchin' People as a group as well as our individual members, have made
and presented hundreds of quilts of all sizes to various community organizations.
Members get together occasionally to make "kits" from donated fabric or members to take
home to work to complete a quilt or a quilt top. Block patterns are occasionally given out at
meetings to facilitate production and uniformity of blocks for some quilts.
Members also work on projects at home.   Everyone's efforts are greatly appreciated!
And the recipients are extremely grateful and pleased.

Photos of a few of some of the most recent projects are shown here.
Keep up the great work, quilters!

November 2003
At the November work party before our meeting, Mary Jo Rawlins demonstrated the sew and flip
method of making this quilt using the quilt-as-you-go technique. Four sewing machines were
humming, two people were pressing, while others were cutting strips. It was a productive
session!

This quilt is shown "in progress." It was completed and shown at the Dec. meeting.
