GROUP ACTIVITIES   AND  SHOW  AND  TELL
Encouraging each other is an important and effective way to share and  gain
knowledge as well as increase confidence in ourselves as well as others.
Bringing our projects for Show and Tell is a wonderful way to accomplish this.

COMMUNITY  SERVICE  QUILTS  AND  PROJECTS  GALLERY
Through the years, Patchin' People as a group as well as our individual members, have
made and presented hundreds of quilts  of all sizes to various community organizations.
We currently meet several hours prior to our monthly meetings to have "sew time" to work
together on these projects. Block patterns are occasionally given out at meetings to
facilitate production and uniformity of blocks  for some quilts. Members also work on
projects at home.   Everyone's efforts are greatly appreciated!
And the recipients are extremely grateful and pleased.

SUMMER BLOCK EXCHANGE

Beginning in 2000, interested members of Patchin' People have participated in this summer project.
Each person makes a designated amount of the same block pattern using different fabrics.  The group
meets six to eight times throughout the summer to exchange blocks with each other.
Voila! Instead of each member making all the blocks for their own quilt, they have many blocks
with interesting fabric combinations made by other members of the group.
Group participation has been around fifteen each summer.

DRAWING BLOCKS

At various times throughout the years, we have had the "drawing block" activity.
Members make a block, or as many blocks as they wish, according to pattern
and fabric/color guidelines. For each block made, the person's name is put
into a "hat."  Names are drawn out of the hat to receive some or all of the
blocks, depending upon the number of participants.
